This intensive three-week foundation course is designed for aspiring artists and high school students preparing to apply to art or design schools - or simply exploring whether an artistic path is right for them.

Through daily hands on studio sessions, creative projects, and guided visits to Prague’s world-class galleries and cultural landmarks, participants will strengthen their technical skills in drawing and painting while developing their own artistic style. The course encourages experimentation, composition, and personal expression, leading to the creation of a cohesive and meaningful portfolio.  

Taught by AAU faculty and practicing artists, the program combines expert instruction with personalized mentorship in an inspiring international environment. Students will receive feedback on their work, learn how to present their portfolio effectively, and experience what it’s like to study art at the university level.

The course culminates in a group exhibition and individual portfolio review, celebrating each student’s creative journey in one of Europe’s most beautiful and artistically vibrant cities.
