PPE@AAU is a course designed for curious students in the final two years of secondary school or the first two years of university. Over two exciting weeks, students will engage with some of the most important and influential ideas in human history. Students will challenge themselves by arguing with great philosophers, economists, and political theorists. The curriculum is deliberately interdisciplinary: it moves seamlessly between international relations, human rights, macroeconomics, the nature of democracy, and the meaning of justice.

Philosophy, Politics, and Economics @ AAU
Philosophy, Politics, and Economics – or PPE – was created at University of Oxford in 1920. Born from a belief that the advanced study of these three distinct but related disciplines would transform students’ intellectual lives, PPE is now the preeminent course of study for those wishing to understand and influence the contemporary world. For over one hundred years, PPE has trained presidents and prime ministers, economists and financiers, journalists, entrepreneurs, and Nobel Prize winners. For the first time, Anglo-American University is delighted to offer a two-week intensive summer program in PPE.
Modeled on programs at Oxford and Harvard, our curriculum is carefully selected to provide a robust and rigorous foundation to the world of Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. Because we have no grades, the focus is entirely on inquiry, exploration, and learning. Our elite instructors provide insightful, growth-focused feedback without the stress of exams and essays. When understanding and dialogue are the primary goals, students will find engagement with the sophisticated world of PPE is stimulating, rewarding, and fun.
PPE@AAU is a mix of lectures, discussions, debates, and group projects. All classes are taught by top scholars with decades of experience. In addition to the regular academic experience, PPE@AAU will sponsor informal seminars with leading figures in European politics, economics, and international relations. Building on what they learn in class, students can meet and speak with experts in a relaxed setting.
